DAY 1: Arrival in Kigali

DAY 2 : Birding in Akagera National Park

DAY 3 :Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After a delicious breakfast, we will begin our journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park. DAY 4 :Birding in Nyungwe Forest National Park
Get ready to explore the remarkable Nyungwe Forest National Park, a true haven for bird enthusiasts. This pristine montane rainforest is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity, including an impressive variety of bird species. Nyungwe Forest is home to 310 bird species, with 27 of them being restricted to the Albertine Rift region. Embark on guided birding walks along the forest trails, led by experienced bird guides who will help you spot and identify the avian wonders.

DAY 6 : Transfer to Ruhengeri Area – North West of Rwanda

DAY 7: Morning Birding in Rugezi Swamp, Optional Canoe Ride, and Return to Kigali

The swamp is home to 43 bird species, including the Grauer’s swamp warbler and white-winged swamp warbler. If time permits, you can opt for a scenic canoe ride on the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Bulera.
