Detailed 6 Days Congo Gorilla Trekking Safari
DAY 1:Transfer to Virunga National Park
You will be picked by our company representative who will transfer you to Goma from Kigali, arriving to clear at the border before we proceed on our great mountain gorilla trekking tour, Virunga national park is home to several animal and plant species, the national conservation area extends to the Semiliki valley and is part of the great east African rift valley region dinner
DAY 2: Mountain Gorilla Hiking
Following breakfast, you will be transferred to the park center to start the day’s activity, you will be divided into groups to track gorilla families, depending on how far the gorilla families have moved, you will take 2 or more hours trekking You are allowed 1 hour with these gentle giants after locating them. After this experience starts the journey back to the headquarters and proceeds to the camp
DAY 3:Chimpanzee Tracking
Early morning breakfast and transfer to the park center for chimpanzee tracking, have been recently habituated for visitors coming to Virunga volcanoes, tracking chimpanzees is much easier compared to mountain gorillas, it takes 2-3 hours in groups of 6 to do the activity and one hour is allowed with the species, chimpanzee are very close relatives to mankind as they share up to 98% of the human DNA, later which you will return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.
DAY 4:Transfer to Kahuzi Biega National Park
Following breakfast, you will begin your journey to the south of congo in Bukavu town, passing through small villages and towns of Congo, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the southern part of the country arriving for dinner
DAY 5:Trekking Lowland Gorillas
You will be transferred to the park headquarters for the briefing before you can start the lowland gorilla trek. These gorillas are easy to find taking a shorter time like 3-4 hours, one hour is allowed with the mountain gorillas, after which you will return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation as we end the neautiful day in the democratic republic of Congo.
DAY 6:Transfer to Kigali for Departure
Following an early morning breakfast, we will transfer to Kigali, having stopovers en-route for picture moments and enjoying the mountain landscape of the land of a thousand hills.
