DAY 1: Arrival at the airport

On your arrival at the Airport in Rwanda, you will be met by a tour guide from Silverback gorilla tours for a warm a welcome to the Land of “a Thousand Hills”. You will start off your 6 Days Bird Watching in Rwanda safari with a journey transfer southwards to the Nyungwe Forest National Park. After a long journey of 4-5 hours, we shall arrive and check in at the lodge/hotel for dinner and overnight

DAY 2 : Bird Watching in Nyungwe Forest National Park

Breakfast in the morning and then start the second day of your bird-watching in Rwanda safari heading into the Nyungwe forest for the bird-watching adventure. We advise that you carry your lunch with you because this a full-day activity that involves an extra nature walk and hikes throughout the day. Your guide will help you identify different birds in the thick canopies and what’s even more exciting is a high chance of encountering different monkey species while on the lookout for birds. It will be a full-day birding experience and therefore it is very vital that you carry lots of drinking water to stay hydrated throughout the day. Return to your safari lodge for dinner and overnight

DAY 3 :Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe, Transfer to Musanze

Wake up to a delicious breakfast in the morning and set out to arrive at the park headquarters on time for a briefing on the basics of a successful chimpanzee trekking adventure. Chimpanzee tracking usually lasts for not more than 4 hours before you retire for lunch at the lodge. You will check out of the lodge and drive northwards to the Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guest House, or Muhabura guest house, among other lodges available

DAY 4 :Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast early in the morning, you will assemble at the headquarters of park (just make sure the lodge you book is next to the park HQs) in Kinigi for a briefing about the gorilla trekking adventure. With your packed lunch and the necessities for the trek, you will be led by an assigned trekking guide to begin the search for the mountain gorillas. The activity takes between 1-5 hours depending on the movement of the assigned gorilla group. After the Gorilla trek, you will be ushered to the lodge for additional refreshments to help you rejuvenate yourself from the breathtaking yet amazing adventure of the trek. Later in the evening, you will get entertained by a group of traditional dancers, learn about Rwandan singing and dancing, traditional drums and so much more

DAY 5 :Golden Monkey Tracking, Dian Fossey Hike

Today you will begin your 5th day of the Rwanda bird-watching tour with an adventurous golden monkey tracking activity in the Volcanoes National Park still. After 3-4 hours of the photographic adventure, Return to lodge for lunch and set out to visit Dian Fossey’ Grave. You will hike at Karisoke research center and explore further the life of Dian Fossey, learn about her effort to conserve these beautiful creatures and the legacy she left behind. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 : Kigali City Tour

Breakfast in the morning! You will on this final day check out of the lodge and start the southward journey heading back to the capital of Kigali. Depending on the time of arrival, we may go for a brief city tour and eventually set you off for your flight schedule back home
